The Great work begins…
Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, is a two-part play set amidst the backdrop of New York City at the height of the AIDS crisis.
The show follows the interconnected stories of Prior Walter, a gay man recently diagnosed with AIDS, alongside his neurotic boyfriend Louis, his best friend Belize, the real-life Roy Cohn, and a Mormon family trying to navigate the harsh realities of 1980s New York.
With the political landscape of Ronald Reagan’s America becoming more tumultuous by the day, Angels in America forces these individuals to reckon with questions of manhood, sexual identity, politics, and love.
